In fact, a growing number of our support groups is turning to wireless in lieu of pagers, enabling immediate two-way communications.
As you well know, ALLTEL called on ICI Networks to resolve a wireless issue experienced when attempting to send or receive calls. Wireless users experienced difficulty using their cell phones within our Twinsburg data center facility. Cell phone users needed to exit the building to make calls, which was acceptable for non-support issues or personal calls. However, that was not the solution for support calls. With the wireless signal repeater system in place, the IT staff can now use their ALLTEL wireless phones to ‘stay connected’ and get their work accomplished anywhere within our 139,000sf facility.
Upon completion of the project, feedback poured in immediately. Results were 100% positive. Considering the growing wireless requirements now and in the future, this was an extremely effective investment.”
